U.S. Customs & Duties Policy
Important Notice for U.S. Customers
Starting August 29, 2025, the U.S. government will apply customs duties even to shipments under USD 800.
CSTOYS only ships via Japan Post (→ USPS)
- This means all U.S. orders are subject to duties collected by USPS upon delivery.
- According to the new U.S. rules, postal shipments may be charged a flat duty ($80 / $160 / $200 depending on the tariff band) or an ad valorem duty (percentage of the item value).

What this means for you
- Starting Aug 29, 2025, U.S. Customs may charge duties on all imports, even under USD 800.
- Duties (or Import Tax) are the responsibility of the buyer/importer, not CSTOYS.
- USPS typically collects duties and fees at delivery.
- If the recipient refuses to pay, the parcel may be returned to Japan.
- CSTOYS will not refund product cost or shipping fees if a parcel is returned for duty refusal.
- Any re-shipping costs due to customs delays or returns will be borne by the customer.
