CSTOYS' Commitment to Supporting Disaster-Affected Communities
At CSTOYS, we have a history of supporting communities affected by natural disasters. In the past, we organized donation drives to assist victims of various calamities. Our commitment to aiding those in need remains steadfast, and this time, our focus is on Wajima City, which continues to struggle with the aftermath of the devastating 2024 Noto Earthquake.
Our Upcoming Initiative: Supporting Wajima City's Earthquake Recovery
On New Year's Day of 2024, Wajima City was struck by a massive earthquake, causing widespread destruction to homes, businesses, and cultural landmarks. Among the losses was the Go Nagai Memorial Museum, dedicated to the legendary manga artist known for works such as Mazinger Z and Devilman. The museum was completely destroyed in a fire following the earthquake, symbolizing not only the physical losses but also the deep cultural impact of this disaster.

Now, more than a year later, not only the museum but the entire Wajima community is still struggling with the ongoing "day-after" situation. Recovery is slow, and many residents continue to face immense challenges in rebuilding their lives.
To bring attention to Wajima’s recovery and share its resilience with the world, we are stepping out of our office for the first time ever to host a special live edition of The Alternative Show from the disaster-affected area. This initiative aims to raise awareness and support for Wajima’s people, industries, and cultural heritage.

2018: Western Japan Heavy-Rain Disaster
Floods and landslides in 2018 led to tragedy in Uwajima City. Despite this, we provided relief by participating at Power Morphicon 2018 collaborating with the Uwajima NPO Center to enhance community resilience. Thanks to Tokusatsu Fans at Power Morphicon, we donated the fund to Uwajima City for people in needs.

2011: Eastern Japan Great Earthquake
The catastrophic earthquake and tsunami of 2011 devastated Japan. Thanks to the generosity of the World’s Tokusatsu Community, CSTOYS raised over $8,000, aka "Super Hero Time" which we donated to the Japan Red Cross Society. This effort demonstrated the power of fandom and global unity in times of need.
