[VISIT #01] Stepping Out of My House to Travel Overseas / Contributed by Otoya-san

The first customer ever visited us in Matsuyama City was Otoya-san from Malaysia in Dec. 2009. He visited our small physical store we used to run in Okaido Shopping Arcade downtown Matsuyama at the time, and he stayed at a Youth Hostel called Guesthouse Matsuyama near the shop and right beneath of Matsuyama Castle.
After his stay in Matsuyama and Japan, he told us in his letter that his experiences here have changed him in many positive ways.
Is kinda interesting that how Toku Series has made me want to learn more about the Language and Culture itself.

"My experience for Toku heroes, at the age of 4, before exposing to Mighty Morphin Power Ranger, my first 2 heroes were Jetman and Kamen Rider Black. Both of them are in the Cantonese version. At that time, I have no idea what the Japanese Language was because the only Japanese thing I have heard was the songs and I have no idea it was from Japan.
Many years later, I was once again exposed to Kamen Rider V3, Kamen Rider Ryuki and Agito in the PlayStation 1 game and also a short movie Ninpu Sentai Hurricaneger VS Gaoranger. Once again, I am listening to something I have no idea. From that moment, I am kinda interested in more in Japanese but that time was not really into it so much. After that, it comes to Kamen Rider Den-O, from that onwards; I fell in love with the language itself.
After finishing airing Kamen Rider Den-O, it starts Kamen Rider Kiva and Engine Sentai Go-onger, that’s where I begin to develop interested in learning the language but no time. Due to the love of Kamen Rider Kiva and start to look for merchandise, that’s how CSToys came into the story and how my name Otoya is used in the CSToys chat.
We did not talk much until the year of Kamen Rider Decade and Kamen Rider W, and that’s when I started to learn Japanese. Also, that is the year; I visited Matsuyama to watch the Movie Movie Taisen with Masaki-san. We have a wonderful time there.
Ever since then, I keep learning the language, and finally, I am going to take the exam.
Is kinda interesting that how Toku Series has made me want to learn more about the Language and Culture itself. Also, thanks to CSToys, it let me know what I really wanted to study for my future careers development.
Also thanks to Toku Heroes, I manage to have a bunch of real friends in my life."
I never ever regret the day I step out of my house to travel overseas for study.

"At the year 2014, after graduating from University at the United Kingdom. I was finally able to travel to Japan to study for the language. During my stay, I visited CSToys the 2nd time. I am glad to see how much they have changed over the years since the year 2009. I even manage to meet up with some CSToys chat member during my stay in Japan.
Despite unable to secure a job in Japan, I am currently working in a Japanese company where I able to use my language for my work. I never ever regret the day I step out of my house to travel overseas for study.
Once again, I need to thank Masaki-san who inspire me so much during my travel. Without him, I don’t think I will be working in a Japanese company as well.
