Ressha Sentai ToQger has received a special award this Railroad Day in honor of the show’s effort in teaching kids about Japan’s expansive railway system. Railroad Day is held annually on October 15th to celebrate the connection between Shinbashi Station and Yokohama Station in 1872.

The document released reads:

“Ressha Sentai ToQger, is one of the Super Sentai series that has aired on TV Asahi for nearly 40 years. This Sentai has been produced using a train motif! The award presented is aimed to familiarize and promote the railroad system to a wide ranger of people. We believe that the show is an excellent source of encouragement in the upbringing of future railroad fans.

In the program (referring to the ‘Everyone’s Train Corner’ segment) we see the show’s collaboration with railway operations throughout Japan, introducing the 41 railroad companies and the 66 types of important trains all across Japan (as of September, 2014). The show also held a promotional stamp-rally campaign this past summer. This campaign created an atmosphere that all railroad operators can work together, beyond their business obligations. The promotion creates a positive energy that promoted both teamwork, and the railroad business as a whole.

Finally, the ToQger’s popular line ‘Please remain behind the white line while waiting’ has brought up an opportunity for parents and children to think, embrace, and discuss about the importance of railroad safety.

This award is to honor and recognize Ressha Sentai ToQger in its efforts and accomplishments in helping promote and teach future generations about the importance of the railway in Japan.”

We sincerely hope you enjoyed reading this and the ToQger toys as well :)
